This is an antique White Family Rotary electric sewing machine made in 1929 based on information from a great web site that gives the history of White going back to the 1880's and if you email me I can give you a direct access email address. This is serial number FR 3,421,091. The machine is a working collectible something that can be used over and over and never go bad because there isn't a lot of parts or things made that can wear out.
It is in excellent cosmetic condition the black paint and gold decals. The decals are unique and some look like a piano treble staff and some look like a group of feathers opened up.I oiled it up and it runs very smooth. It is all original with smaller type case (23.5x18.5x30") with one door and cover. The speed control is a knee operated nice long bar not a stud. On the door there is 6 metal spindles for thread and 2 metal boxes. Under the machine is a metal plate for catching oil or dirt. When you lift the cover the machine comes up on a cable and sets in place without you having to lift it so very simple. The case is a solid wood brown type very good condition but could use a refinishing on the top surfaces. The machine has a light and that is working. It has a simple thread tension control and a simple release lever for the hand wheel. I don't know why this machine didn't give Singer a run for its money based on how many things on it are so simple and well made. There is only one pressure foot, bobbin and needle but these are available. Email me for any questions.
